THE BEST HOMESTYLE SHEPHERD’S PIE

You may use any ground meat you’d prefer! The cooking time maybe a tad different, but feel free to use whatever your heart desires.

INGREDIENTS:

– Carrots – Onion – Garlic – Olive oil – Chicken thigh – Worcestershire sauce – Tomato paste – Mustard – Oregano – Cayenne pepper – Frozen corn – Frozen peas

They are simple and oh so addicting.

Instructions:

In a large stock pot fill a little over 1/2 full with water and place your washed potatoes into the pot. Bring to a boil and continue to boil your potatoes for 15-20 minutes.

Dice your carrots, 1/2 yellow onion, and mince your 3 cloves of garlic. In a large skillet add 1 Tbsp. olive oil, the diced yellow onion, and minced garlic.

Add chopped carrots and continue to saute for 2 more minutes. Then add in the ground chicken and cook down, breaking apart for 3 minutes.

Then add in your ground mustard, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly and cook for 2 more minutes on medium heat. After, add in the frozen corn and peas.
