What type of rolls are best for Lobster rolls
The best rolls for Lobster rolls are kaiser rolls. Hands down. We tried brioche buns, sourdough type of buns, wheat buns etc. Let me tell you it has to be kaiser! They hold together well, are not too sweet or take away from taste like brioche & sourdough do. The right rolls are crucial for the overall perfect bite!
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400
- In mixing bowl add in mayonnaise, chopped celery, lemon juice, lemon zest, sriracha, chopped chives & 1 clove of garlic minced. Whisk together until fully combined set a side.
- In a sauce pot add in 1/4 cup of butter and remaining 1 clove of garlic minced. Heat on medium heat until fully melted & starts to simmer. Add I drained lobster meat. Using kitchen scissor to cut into bite sized pieces if need be. Then add in 1 tsp of the Luke’s special seasoning or salt & pepper to taste. Heat through for 1 to 2 minutes until warm in the garlic butter.
- Then with a slotted spoon, add in your lobster to your mixing bowl with the sauce. It is okay if some of the juice gets in the sauce, but we don’t wait all of the liquid from the sauce pot or it will be too runny
- Mix until well combined, then set aside
- Take your kaiser rolls & cut into the tops diagonally so it creates a crater on top to be able to spoon the lobster mixture into.
- Spray the tops of the empty kaiser rolls with olive oil or butter. Then place in oven for 5 minutes or until tops get toasty. Take out of oven. Fill with the delicious lobster filling and more fresh chives and enjoy!
