Feel free to always message me any thing you all are looking for, one of my favorite things is to create recipes that are exactly what you are wanting 🙂 The request was for a healthier chicken teriyaki bowl because so many pre bought sauces at the store have millions of ingredients. That is where The Best Chicken Teriyaki Bowls come in. These are truly addicting and SO delicious. They are simple, clean, delicious and will be a new favorite dinner. Not to mention an easy lunch prep. I made these this past weekend for lunches and we had this also for dinner this past week…. so we love it! I cannot wait for you all to enjoy as well!
My Favorite Way to Make Rice
Now you don’t have to cook it this way, but I feel like it keeps from having another pot on the stove. Plus I ALWAYS over boil my rice…. I just can’t even begin to tell you hahaha. Therefore the Instant Pot is my savior when it comes to making rice.
Also if anyone else has this much bad luck with rice, you should message me to let me know I am not alone hahah.
What you will need for this recipe:
- 2 cups long grain white rice
- 2 cups water or chicken broth
Directions: Place in Instant Pot, give it a quick stir. Secure your Instant Pot lid, and lock the steam release valve. Then turn on High Pressure for 4 minutes. After you will naturally release it for 10 minutes. Once the screen reads LO 10, quick release. Once valve drops, you will put in your chopped cabbage and close lid again in order to steam it. That way it will still be crunchy but steamed. ( you will see more about the cabbage below!)
I love that this takes care of the rice & cabbage. Then you will just top it with The Best Chicken Teriyaki that is cooking on the stove. Eek so excited for you all to devour!
