Now the appeal for baked oats is that you add the oats and the other ingredients to the blender to mix it all up & pour into the dish. However, I love to make the oat flour in the blender & then mix it all together in a bowl. For me, I prefer the texture that way much better.
Perfect Sized Baking Dish: When making these baked oats, using a small baking dish (7.5” x 5.6”) like this one is perfect for the family to enjoy in the morning. That way it is the perfect thickness. However, if you are making for more than 4 people, you might want to double and place
High Power Blender: No need to ever buy oat flour, blending your own old fashioned oats in the blender makes for the perfect consistency for flour. I know that this blender is of higher price than anything I ever recommend on my page. However, I have had it for over 6 years now and it is by far the best blender ever– hands down! It is well worth the money & pays for itself over the years!
Karuna Pro Fit Drink: Like I mentioned above Karuna is that secret nutritious ingredient in Easy Chocolate Banana Bread Baked Oats. You can order them through Amazon or your local grocery store. Here in St. Louis, Schnucks, Dierbergs & Whole Foods sells them. However, you can always look at the store finder on the site!
Chocolate Chips: One thing that helps keep this recipe more on the healthy side is the types of chocolate chips you use. I tend to lean toward the allergy friendly ones or the ones that are little can sugar and use monk fruit sweetener or stevia. However, dark chocolate chips always work well too of course!
