Do you ever feel like you have leftovers from the holidays or events and have NO idea what to do with it? You make a quesadilla with it one day, an average sandwich the next…just gets boring right? Well I am here to elevate your leftover game with these Easy Baked Garlic Dijon Ham Sliders. There is no way you can go wrong with these. They are easy, simple, delicious and have a wonderful tangy to the with the garlic dijon aioli!
One of my favorite things to make are sliders in the oven. From my Turkey Gouda Sliders, to BBQ Chicken Meatball sliders, this method does not get any easier!
So What is Aioli?
It is a sauce that is primarily made of garlic, salt and olive oil. Comes from Mediterranean Cuisine, the name means garlic and oil. I mean garlic and oil… heck yes I’m down with that. Since we have a sweet Hawaiian roll with these sliders, I thought a dijon garlic aioli would give us the exact tang we would want with the sweetness of the buns and would pair perfect with the ham. We were right 🙂 SO perfect! It is key to these Easy Baked Garlic Dijon Ham Sliders.
What will we need for these Easy Baked Garlic Dijon Ham Sliders?
- Hawaiian Rolls
- Spiral Ham
- Swiss Cheese
- Mayo
- Garlic
- Grape Seed Oil ( light olive oil)
- Lemon
- Dijon
- Sesame Seeds
- Salt & Pepper
How to make the Garlic Dijon Aioli
In my personal opinion you whisk your aioli together, however it is way more creamy & delicious if you immersion blend it. That is where you are really going to get the aioli consistency that is easy to spread on your sliders, as well as consistent scrumptious taste throughout!
In immersion blender add the ingredients below:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise of choice
- 1/4 cup grape-seed oil ( or light olive oil)
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1/2 lemon juiced
- 1/4 tsp salt & pepper
Directions: Put the ingredients into the immersion blender, Blend, going up and down with your immersion blender for about 1-2 minutes, until fully creamy! The put aside until you are ready to make the sliders. You could put the aioli in an air tight container for up to 4 days in the refrigerator.

Do I have to use Hawaiian sweet rolls?
Of course! Use whatever buns you’d like. However, I recommend they are the mini rolls, that are all linked together. That way you can spread everything on easily and pull apart!
Am I able to use my leftover turkey instead of ham?
Absolutely! Any meat you’d prefer to do with it, works perfectly!
Can I make this recipe gluten free?
You could use Gluten Free buns for this recipe instead
Is there a way to make this recipe dairy free?
I have not tried this recipe using dairy free substitutes but you could always do a DF sliced cheese you prefer and a mayo substitute you use a lot! Let me know if you make those alterations and how they go– that way I can put it here!
How do I keep the tops of the buns from burning?
You will not keep the sliders uncovered the whole time. You will bake with aluminum foil on then off to ensure even cooking and no burning.
