Questions for Easy and Healthy Greek Hummus Dip
Do you have to use cannellini bean to make the hummus?
No you do not have to use cannellini beans, you could use garbanzo beans– but I do just love cannellini beans with this recipe, it makes it a lot smoother!
Is regular olive oil okay instead of light olive oil?
Regular olive oil has a very strong taste and with the other lighter ingredients it is important to use a lighter olive oil, so it does not over power the taste of everything else combined perfectly!
If I don’t have fresh basil, can I use dried?
Dried basil is no comparison when it comes to fresh basil. The dried basil is not going to provide that same taste we are looking for in this recipe
How long does the hummus last?
5 to 7 days in an air tight container
Can you make this dip ahead of time?
Yes, I would recommend chopping the ingredients that you will be layering with ( tomatoes, cucumbers & olives) ahead of time & make the hummus ahead of time as well. I would wait to do the layering right BEFORE you serve, that way the cucumber & tomatoes don’t get soggy before you are ready to devour it!
