I am obsessed with pickles. Oh, I mean it….very much lol. When I was pregnant with Ainsley, I would order at least 5 pickles at time when we ate out hahah. Now, I cannot use that as an excuse, so I just order them and say they are for everyone 🙂 That means this dip was meant for me and any other pickle lover out there. If that is you, this Easy 3 Step Dill Pickle Dip will be your new favorite dip hands down.
I am REALLY unsure what took me so long to make a dip that is so meant for me it isn’t even funny! This easy dill pickle dip, I could sit and eat the whole thing in one sitting. What I love about it is you can use so many different “dip vehicles”, because it goes so well with everything. My favorite things to devour this with are tortilla chips and celery sticks.
Now I also love to set this dip up with a delicious snack board. With cheese boards or any snack board in general, my opinion is you need a good dip that can run the whole board. This dip is exactly that! My newest favorite snack board is below. Not only am I going to include the yummy Dill Pickle Dip recipe below, but I will be including my top 5 tips to making an epic snack board!
Let’s get started!

Top 5 Snack Board Tips:
1 . Having the “fun” extras make it worth wild!
I got these cheap kid sandwich cutters off amazon & let me tell you— everything tastes better in a shape & just takes it to the next level. We cut our cheese into stars & flowers.
Multi color frill toothpicks add that POP of color! So get to putting together whatever fruits you want on it. We did blueberries on some & then folded salami to create a fun fan design
2. FILL Up Your Fruit
So how do you get it to where they stand up?? Cut the tip of the bottom of the strawberry off so it is flat, then it will sit perfectly on the board! We stuffed with Tru Whip and Enjoy Life Foods chocolate chips
3. GET YOUR DIP ON
Always needing a main dip to run the board and this Dill Pickle Dip is going to do just that!
4. Vehicles for your DIP
In the picture we are using Cheese Crisps, Lentil chips & cucumbers — always want veggies in on this!
5. Pour your favorite drink, and enjoy!!

Questions When Making this Easy 3 Step Dill Pickle Dip
Are you able to make this recipe vegan ( DF & GF)? YES the below was accommodations from a follower
- quick-boiled 1 c of unsalted cashews for 10 min (let it sit covered for 1 hr)
2. Blended those with the garlic from your recipe and 1/2 c vegan Mayo
3. Subbed the Cream Cheese for Toffuti cream cheese and the Greek Yogurt for So Delicious Unsweetened Coconut Milk yogurt.
Do I need to use mayo in this recipe?
No! You can actually sub mayo for more cream cheese 🙂 Instead of 2 oz cream cheese, use 4 oz cream cheese & omit the mayo
I don’t have fresh dill can I use fresh dill instead?
I have not tried it with dried dill before, but I don’t see why not! You just might want to use half as much and add more if need be. I also FREEZE my fresh dill & then just take out how much I need chop & use. It works perfect. No need to “defrost” the frozen dill.
The dip came out too runny– what happened?
There are a few reasons it maybe came out too runny. I recommend you letting it refrigerate for at least an hour in order for it to thicken in the fridge. Also you might have used a bit too much pickle juice– so try a little less next time.

- 1/3 cup Kosher Dill pickle juice from jar of pickles used for below add more to taste
- 1 cup of chopped Kosher Dill pickles
- 1 1/2 tbsp fresh chopped dill
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 small garlic clove minced
Instructions
- In a deep mixing bowl add in Greek Yogurt, mayo, cream cheese, garlic minced, salt and pepper. With a hand mixer, mix until fully incorporated and the cream cheese is no longer in pieces but mixed it well.
- Then pour in pickle juice, chopped pickles, chopped fresh dill. Fold with spatula until mixed throughly.
- ** I personally like to add 1/2 cup dill pickled juice, it does make the dip a bit thinner, but I personally like it that way, so just adjust the juice depending on your consistency preference. Now be aware it WILL thicken a good amount in the fridge after an hour.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Then GET TO DIPPIN’
