Tips when making the Easy Crock-Pot BBQ Chicken Flatbreads
What kind of BBQ sauce is the best for this recipe?
I really like using Kinder’s BBQ Sauce. It is gluten free, organic and has minimal ingredients!
Do I have to use gorgonzola cheese?
You don’t have to use gorgonzola cheese, however the tanginess that gorgonzola cheese adds. I highly recommend using it! It really balances the sweetness, tangy and deliciousness.
What is the best way to shred the chicken?
I use to shred my chicken with 2 forks forever and occasionally burning myself on the hot chicken in the process (hahah been there too many times!). It was this year when I discovered the Kitchen Aide method and will never turn back! Place the chicken breasts in the kitchen aide mixer and shred on medium.
Does it have to be a certain kind of flatbread or pizza crust?
Nope! Whatever flatbread you love! I linked the one we are obsessed with though on here 🙂
How do I store the Easy Crock-Pot BBQ Chicken Flatbreads?
The BBQ Chicken can be stored in an air tight container in the fridge for 3 to 5 days. If you cook one ahead of time, they heat up really well if you place it in a frying pan on medium heat to crisp it up again or zap it in the microwave is fine by me– just not as crisp ( but your preference!) then top with the coleslaw mixture and enjoy!

I made this last night and one kid said it was her favorite thing I’ve made! I changed the coconut sugar to white sugar and the pink Himalayan salt to table salt in the pickled onions just because I wanted to use what I had on hand. It was so delicious!
