The Best Pecan Crunch Granola Questions
Can you use another combination of nuts?
Absolutely, feel free to use whatever nut combination you prefer! Just make sure you have 3 cups of the nuts you choose.
What if it gets too brown?
Check on it every 10 minutes to make sure it doesn’t burn. You will do this for 20-30 minutes depending how your oven is. You can tell it is done if the color all around is golden brown
What is the best way to store the granola?
In a large mason jar is perfect way to store the granola or air tight container! It will keep fresh for 2 weeks and/or freeze portions if you like.
They didn’t turn into clusters, what could have happened?
You need to let it cool all the way after taking it out of the oven. It is going to be so tempting to not dive in, but wait for at least 15 minutes. Then you will take a spatula and start breaking apart into clusters and smaller pieces!

The Best Pecan Crunch Granola
Ingredients
- 3 cups old fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup sliced raw almonds
- 1 cup pumpkin seeds
- 1 tbl cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Pink Himalayan salt
- 1/8 cup coconut sugar
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup melted butter or coconut oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Place wax paper a baking sheet or use a Silpat— we use a Silpat and that worked great
- Add all the dry ingredients together in one bowl
- Whisk together all the wet ingredients in a separate bowl
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix it together thoroughly so the oats are well covered
- Then spread the mixture evenly onto baking sheet with wax paper or Silpat and place in oven at 300 degrees.
- Watch for 20-30 minutes, moving it around the first 10 minutes at first, then rotate the sheet in the oven at minute 20, checking to make sure it isn't burning. You want it to be golden brown, but not burnt.
- Each time I take it out to move it around I sprinkle a bit more coconut sugar right on the top after it has been moved around and before I pop it back in ( this helps with the clusters)
- After it is done, let it cool fully until you put it into the container. Letting it cool that way, makes the perfect crunch! About 10 to 15 minutes.
- Store in an air tight container for up to 2 weeks or freeze portions if you’d like
Maria
sprinkle a bit more coconut sugar?
1/8 cup coconut sugar or more??
Alaina Hinkle
Hi Maria!
The 1/8 cup is part of the dry ingredients. When you take it out I like to sprinkle a bit more, so just a sprinkle– no real measurement. If I am wanting it less sweet, I won’t add any. It is really your preference. That is why I just say a bit.
I sure hope you will consider taking away the 1 star. When you put a 1 star without making it yet, it really hurts the recipe rating. If you ever have a question about a recipe feel free to reach out without ranking yet.
Let me know if I can answer answer more questions. Thank you!
Maria
I will try it 😍❤️❤️
