8 Ingredient Simple Pumpkin Air Fryer Cinnamon Rolls?
Yes! The rumor is true. Here are the simple ingredients you need for these scrumptious things.
- Crescent rolls ( I LOVE this brand, because it is very hard to find ones that do not have enriched flour.)
- Butter
- Brown Sugar
- Honey
- Pumpin Spice
- Salt
- Pumpkin Puree
- Maple Syrup
Why should we try to find one that doesn’t have enriched flour in it?
Enriched flour is in so many products on the shelves. The goal is to give the product a finer texture and increase shelf life. However what is in compromising?
It actually extracts so many of the vitamins and minerals in order to achieve that texture and increased shelf life.
SO WHAT?
100% Whole Grain:
We digest slower, so we burn it off throughout the day and stay fuller longer. We get the steady burst of energy throughout the day. 100% whole grain is also full of nutrients including protein, fiber, vitamins, antioxidants, and trace minerals. They have also been known to lower risk of heart disease, obesity, type 2 diabetes and other health conditions.
VS
Enriched Flour:
Dissolves super fast, which makes us hungrier quicker. Since it dissolves so fast it actually can increase your blood sugar level and since it can’t dissolve at such a fast pace it actually ends up storing it as FAT. Yes, we have healthy fats our body needs, but this is stored as an un healthy fat.
So a lot of products “deemed” healthy for us have enriched flour as the main ingredient. So it is something to keep in mind when looking at gluten products! Do we eat products with enriched flour in it still? Yes, but very sparingly.

Simple Pumpkin Air Fryer Cinnamon Rolls
Equipment
- Air Fryer
- Hand Mixer
Ingredients
Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls
- 1 8oz Crescent Roll Container
- 2 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tsp honey
- 1 tsp pumpkin spice
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- pinch salt
- 2 1/2 tbsp pumpkin puree
- 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
Pumpkin Cream Cheese Frosting
- 2 oz cream cheese
- 1 1/2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp pumpkin puree
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls
- In a small bowl add the pumpkin puree, maple syrup and honey. Fold together until combined.
- In another small bowl add brown sugar, pumpkin spice, cinnamon & salt. Whisk together.
- On a floured surface. Lay out your crecent roll tube so it is one large rectangle. You do not want any of the perfurations, so you will pinch those together the best you can. TIP: Keep the crecent roll container in the refridgerator until this point. You want it to still be as cold as possible to be able to roll and cut well.
- Melt the 4 tbsp of butter. With a basting brush, brush the crecent roll rectangle with a thin coating. Then pour the remaining butter into the brown sugar, pumpkin spice, cinnamon and salt mixture.
- Take a spatula and spread evently the pumpkin puree mixture over the crecent roll. Then spread of the brown sugar over the pumpkin puree.
- Next, keep flour handy. You want to flour underneath each time as you start to roll your dough. You want to roll as tightly as you can. You start to roll on the longest side in ward toward the parrael long side ( See video if you want to double check how to roll). Some of the perfurations may start to come a little undone, pinch back together. It will be no biggie, especially when they cook.
- Once rolled, cut into 11 to 12 cinnamon rolls. Cut parchment paper to fit the grate on the air fryer. Place the cinnamon rolls on top. Cook at 360 degrees for 10 minutes.
- At this point it depends you your air fryer. An old one I had did not circulate well so the bottoms were done well, so you have to flip them bottom side up and continue to air fry for 5 minutes.
- However my air fryer now will have them done in 12 minutes without flipping. So keep an eye on them, they will be gold brown but will not be over done, the insides will be perfect. So check at 10 mins depending on your air fryer.
- Take out of air fryer and place back face up. Let cool for 2 minutes before adding the frosting! Then enjoy!
Pumpkin Cream Cheese Frosting
- In a large microwave safe bowl add cream cheese and butter. Cook in microwave for 20 seconds to soften. Then add in pumpkin puree, vanilla extract and with hand mixture mix on high until smooth constency. Then fold in the powderered sugar until smooth. Refrigerate until the rolls are done!

This recipe is so amazing!! I do not have an air fryer (yet) but was easily able to just bake these in the oven! I have never been a big cinnamon roll fan so turning them into pumpkin cinnamon rolls was exactly what I needed to fall in love and eat my weight in these. They were easy and quick to make and I served them as a desert which was perfect! I highly recommend this recipe to everyone!!
