FLAVORFUL CRANBERRY ORANGE GIN AND TONIC

This is such a fresh and delicious cocktail, with notes of rich maple syrup, tangy orange and cranberry simple syrup, and the perfect fruity notes of the gin.

INGREDIENTS:

– Gin – Cranberries – Cane sugar – Navel orange – Cranberry orange simple syrup – Runamok maple tonic syrup

In a sauce pan, stir the fresh cranberries, cane sugar, and water. Peel the orange, discard the peel, section off the orange slices, and place them in the sauce pan.

Instructions:

Bring the mixture to a boil, then turn it down to a simmer on medium-low heat. For 15 minutes, let it simmer; the cranberries will start to “pop” and soften.

Give it a good stir occasionally, then remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.

Place a fine sieve or small strainer over a large mason jar or container, and start slowly pouring the simple syrup into the strainer.

With the back of a spoon, squeeze the juice out of the cranberries left and the orange slices. Discard the cranberries and orange pulp occasionally as you continue to strain them.
